Courtney Elmes, who also goes by ‘Coco’, is a Sacred Earth Activist whose roots lie in the north-west of England. She has always been a storyteller at heart, with a passion for artistic soul expression and creative endeavours.  

Having travelled her fair share of the world, the many cultures she encountered along the way profoundly impacted her perspectives in life – especially Yogic philosophy, Mayan cosmology and Māori theology. She was mesmerised by how each community communicated through stories, dance, and ceremony, and incorporated their teachings into everyday life. The admiration and respect she felt towards the wisdom shared transformed into a deep fire ignited towards justice with a decolonial lens, for both the planet and her people.  

She is a Terra.do Alum, hosts Climate Circles in collaboration with One Resilient Earth and is on the Extinction Rebellion Global Support Arts team. Her appreciation for the world is reflected in her core values of community, connection and compassion. She wears not one but a few hats at ClimArts.
