ClimArts Studio
1-year Project Incubator
Select artists from our learning programs are nurtured over a one-year journey to create a portfolio of climate-themed, solutions-focused art. On occasion, experts approach us to lean into storytelling to communicate their insights. We then work with them to find a suitable artist from our community.
The incubator program includes personalized coaching, collaboration opportunities with experts, research in specific areas of climate change, and training in areas like social media and branding. The program's goal is to foster solutions-focused storytelling through art. Each artist's experience is tailored to their chosen climate topic and artistic medium.
The approach allows for a diverse range of artistic expressions and educational journeys within the framework of the incubator.
Two performing artists going through ClimArts Studio in 2024-25 are:
Ann Wall
Ann is a ballet dancer working on a ClimArts story about coral bleaching in collaboration with experts from OCEAN UNI
Sakdiyah Ma'ruf
Sakdiyah is a stand-up comedian exploring projects with Inside The Greenhouse and on air pollution with CSTEP, a think tank in India
