ClimArts has a dynamic team of 10+ individuals, including seasoned professionals and founders who generously contribute their time.

Volunteering with us does not require a background in climate issues; we welcome a range of talents in fields like filmmaking, marketing, public relations, IT, and beyond.

Open Volunteer Positions

Unless noted, volunteer roles typically require an average commitment of 8-10 hours per week. Interested individuals should possess relevant skills and experience and be proactive. We are seeking candidates who can commit to volunteering for one year.

  1. All roles provide an excellent opportunity to expand your network within the climate space, connecting with climate experts, artists, and organizations focused on climate storytelling.

  2. If you're a creative individual, our workshops and courses are open to you free of charge. This is a great opportunity to build your climate-related portfolio by actively participating in our initiatives.

  3. These are all remote working roles. Our team is global, with volunteers based in the UK, USA, India and Taiwan.

Marketing Head 

We are searching for a seasoned marketing professional looking to give back their experience and skills to climate storytelling.  A good network and relationship with media and influencers/thought leaders in climate and/or art will be needed! This is a senior position, and for the right candidate, we are open to welcoming the person on the founding team.

Qualities:

  • Influencer and Partnership Building: The ability to identify and pursue partnerships with relevant organizations, influencers, and media outlets is essential for expanding ClimArts' reach and amplifying its message.

  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with ClimArts' vision and objectives is crucial. Strategic thinking skills are needed to identify target audiences, craft messaging, and plan effective campaigns.

  • Creativity and Storytelling: As a platform that combines art and climate science, the Marketing Head should possess creativity and storytelling abilities to develop engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.

  • Social Media Savviness: Strong social media skills are vital for building and managing ClimArts' online presence, creating engaging campaigns, and fostering a vibrant community across various platforms. We have a social media manager to work with you.

  • Analytical and Data-Driven: The Marketing Head should have the ability to analyze and interpret marketing metrics, continuously optimizing strategies based on data-driven insights for better results.

  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Effective collaboration with the Community Management and Tech Operations teams is necessary for seamless marketing initiative execution and for leveraging their respective expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to steeply grow ClimArts' visibility and reach in 2024-2025.

  • Find speaking and publication opportunities for founders and self.

  • Oversee ClimArts' social media presence, guiding the creation of engaging content and campaigns to build a strong online community.

  • Collaborate with the team to create compelling promotional materials, including videos, graphics, and written content.

  • Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with relevant organizations, influencers, and media outlets.

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns for ClimArts' events, workshops, and other offerings.

  • Analyze and report on marketing metrics, continuously optimizing strategies for better results.

  • Coordinate with the Community Management and Tech Operations teams for seamless execution of marketing initiatives.

Note: This role will have 1-2 people reporting directly.



Compliance and Legal Lead

We are seeking an individual who understands legal guidelines and compliance best practices.

Qualities:

  • Strong attention to detail to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.

  • Analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations.

  • Proactiveness and Initiative: A self-starter who can take the lead on projects, follow up on meetings, and drive initiatives to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure ClimArts' compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the UK and other regions of operation.

  • Draft and review legal agreements, contracts, and partnerships.

  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to data privacy (GDPR in UK and similar in other regions of operation), intellectual property, and other legal matters.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and mitigate potential legal risks.

  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations, and advise the team accordingly.

  • Assist in obtaining necessary licenses, permits, insurance cover and registrations for ClimArts' operations.

  • Address customer queries regarding terms and conditions and other contracts.

  • Implement cybersecurity measures to protect the organisation's assets and data.

  • Legal experience or knowledge of law and regulations in the non profit or similar sectors desirable.


Tech Operations

Qualities:

  • Proactiveness and Initiative: A self-starter who can take the lead on projects, follow up on meetings, and drive initiatives to completion.

  • Nimbleness and Common Sense: Ability to adapt quickly, think on your feet, and apply practical solutions to challenges.

  • Excellent Communication Skills:  You should have strong written and verbal communication abilities to engage with members, moderate discussions, and convey information clearly and concisely.

  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable learning new technologies on your own and mastering ClimArts existing suite of tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain ClimArts' website, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience.

  • Collaborate with the team to implement new features, integrations, and updates on the website and other digital platforms.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely support and solutions.

  • Assist in setting up and configuring online tools and software for internal operations and external events/workshops.

  • Ensure data backup and recovery procedures are in place and regularly tested.

  • Explore and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance ClimArts' digital presence and operations.

  • Provide training and support to team members on using various tech tools and platforms
