As a  transportation engineer, Kartik consults the DC government on traffic safety projects. His work translates to lower crashes in the capital. Before moving to DC, he completed his master's in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh. He grew up surrounded by the mountains in Dehradun, India and is mesmerized by the depth found in nature. He is particularly attracted to the sound of a flowing stream.
Kartik likes to learn about the human mind and body and use the information to complement his workouts. He believes that everything is an art when explored at a certain depth. He likes to read memoirs and writes about his life experiences on his substack. He enjoys sipping coffee in the morning sunlight. This year, Kartik had fun doing improv and learned to be okay with being imperfect. Art is the most potent driver of change, and he is keen to inspire climate action through his writing at ClimArts.
