Kimberly York, Ph.D., is the Senior Director for Information Technology at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education (PennGSE). As a senior leader, she aligns IT strategy with the school’s goals in learning space design, online course development, web development, digital research support, data integrity and security, and other initiatives to meet the needs and aspirations of 1500 faculty, students, and students.
Before PennGSE, Kim piloted and scaled new digital library services to support teaching, learning, and research at Penn Libraries. She has managed enterprise learning technologies, MOOC production, course design, and multimedia development, and in her early career, she began as an instructional designer of online courses. Kim holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University in Natural Resource Development.
Kim leads all things tech at ClimArts. She is an active member of the Educause Learning Initiative, the IFTF Foresight Practitioners, and the Terra.Do Climate Learning for Action communities.
